Portugal
Overview
Portugal, renowned as one of the world’s most globalized and peaceful nations, offers a high quality of life and ranks very highly on the Human Development Index. With a rich history, vibrant culture, exceptional cuisine, stunning beaches, and idyllic countryside, Portugal is among Europe’s oldest and most attractive destinations for living and investment.
The Portugal Golden Residence Permit Program, commonly known as the Portugal Golden Visa, is a five-year residence-by-investment program designed for non-EU nationals. This program provides the right to live, work, and study in Portugal, while also allowing free movement across Europe’s Schengen Area. Notably, the program requires minimal physical presence in Portugal—averaging only seven days per year over the five-year period.
